Grown in the deep sands of Vine Vale – within 50 metres of the winery and cellar door. Hand harvested, fermented and matured on lees in large, seasoned oak barrels. A complex and textural white wine.
Description
A superb grenache gris, sourced from the Dominion vineyard next to the excellent Spinifex cellar door. Light straw with aromas of citrus and stone fruits, hints of soft spice, clotted cream, clover blossom, almond meal, crushed stone and daubs of curds and whey. A slide of poached pear joins the grapefruit and peach on the palate, which shows a slinky textural aspect and a bright mineral line. Savoury and focused on the finish. – 94 points, Dave Brookes
